Barrie Families Unite Appeal for Mary, 2022
We know this is out of character for us, as we are known for being advocates for tenants, but this video is about supporting a desperate landlord who has been taken advantage of during very dark days.
Why should you care? Well, if you are renting, these scammers are the reason why you are put through so many tests of income, credit, and background checks. Clearly, Barrie Families Unite feel likewise, as it is their team that is pulling in the support.
These tenants are evidently seasoned professionals who abuse the system and take advantage of the few good renters out there. They are nothing but a blight on tenants across the city and beyond.
If, after seeing this story, you want to help this woman who has been robbed for more than a year and wants only to bring her dying husband home for the holidays, the contact info is below.

We would like to thank the following sponsors of the Ontario Community Awareness Network. These businesses show they care about our shared community by helping us to provide a not-for-profit truly local voice to you and your neighbours. They also enable our crew to be able to continue providing donated services to promote local benevolent community groups and charities based in The City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, and the Township of Oro-Medonte.
