This was the biggest and most successful Walk A Mile event ever in Barrie
It was our pleasure last Saturday, September 16, 2017, to work once again with the staff and volunteers of the Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie as they once again raised public awareness and much-needed funding through the Walk A Mile in Her Shoes 2017 event. While there we spoke with local representatives of all levels of government, including City Councillor Rose Romita Ward 2 and Ken Weatherill, Deputy Chief, Barrie Police Service, MPP Ann Hoggarth and Alex Nuttall MP, as well as Presenting Sponsors at Meridian Credit Union and Royal LePage Canada in Barrie, and of course the staff at the Shelter who make it all happen. Entertainment featured the Cairo's Jewels BellyDance performers and Dale and Charlie from 107.5 Kool FM.
The Women and Children's Shelter is one of the most urgently needed organizations in Barrie, and our crew will always be there for them in any capacity that we are able to offer.
